I developed this website to offer a wealth of complementary health advice, detailed information on the therapies I practice and many useful holistic health resources. I also regularly add self-help information/advice to the site for a number of conditions with which my patients suffer, including links, videos and documents. I hope you find it both interesting and useful:

Living with COVID - ongoing clinic operations

During the pandemic I have been continuously reviewing and updating my coronavirus policies. I decided to keep many of my Coronavirus policies in place throughout the 2022-23 winter, due to the high levels of flu, coronavirus, and other respiratory viruses. As we come out of the ‘higher risk’ winter months I will drop some of my remaining coronavirus policies in line with the decrease in risk & the pandemic. I will drop wearing my facemask, but I will keep type IIR masks in stock which I am happy to wear on client request (e.g. for extremely vulnerable clients) I will also wear a mask if I am feeling under the weather, or I have a cold. If I have cold/coronavirus symptoms I will also continue to take a LFD test, and cancel work (for at least 5 days) from my positive test/symptom onset. The clinic/therapy plinth will of course continue to be clean & safe, with good ventilation and therapist hand hygiene exemplary.

Please continue to ensure you do not attend clinic if you have any COVID (or cold) symptoms, to keep your therapist well, clients safe, and the clinic open.

Training Update (Tui Na Masters, Myofascial scar tissue release and TMJ pain)

Tui Na Master Practitioner course: In February 2023 I finally got to complete the excellent Tui Na masters course with Bodyharmonics. I have been keen to do this since taking the foundation course before/during the pandemic, so was exited when they decided to run it again. This course covers extra acupressure points, tui na for sports injuries and extra medical massage & manipulation techniques for neck, back, shoulder and hip issues.

Scar tissue release: I managed to get to my Jing scar tissue (myofascial release) course, just before lockdown 1. The course covered scar tissue treatment for pain & health problems, including for cesarean, hysterectomy & mastectomy operations.

TMJ pain: I finally got to attend my advanced clinical massage for TMJ pain course, which was cancelled due to lockdown 1. This course will give me a better understanding of the assessment & treatment of jaw issues (TMJ/TMD), teeth grinding (bruxism), headache/migraine and phantom tooth pain.

Refer a friend scheme

I have decided to introduce a ‘refer a friend’ scheme, to encourage & reward existing clients who refer a friend/colleague for treatment. I receive most of my new clients by referral from existing clients, and it seemed prudent to reward this while encouraging further referrals. Simply let me know the name of the person you referred at your next treatment to receive your £5 discount.
