Advanced Clinical Massage (Level 6-distinction)

I have completed the respected Jing Institute, level-6 BTEC in Advanced Clinical & Sports Massage to give Massage Therapists the skills and knowledge required to effectively treat soft-tissue pain conditions. Advanced Clinical Massage treatment utilises a wide range of cutting edge bodywork techniques from around the world to assess and treat chronic pain conditions and sports injury. Massage Therapy techniques studied include Neuromuscular Technique, Myofascial Release, Rolfing, Soft Tissue Release, Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Spontaneous Release, Deep Tissue Massage, PNF Stretching, Active Isolated Stretching and Shiatsu.

The Jing Advanced Massage BTEC is the first degree level Massage Therapy qualification in the country, giving its graduates an unsurpassed knowledge in the understanding and treatment of soft tissue pain conditions (over 80% of chronic pain problems are believed to be ‘soft-tissue’ in origin). The BTEC includes modules in pathology, rehabilitation exercise, orthopaedic assessment, anatomy of injury, Event Massage and Myofascial Release. I have also completed a dissertation entitled: A Pilot Study to Investigate the Effect of Massage on Headaches and Neck/Shoulder Tension in Office Workers.

My extensive Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy training enables me to quickly reduce the majority of client’s chronic pain conditions in a short course of treatment. I am able to effectively treat myofascial pain & muscular problems in all areas of the body including joint pain, neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, wrist pain, elbow pain, hip pain, groin pain, thigh pain, knee pain, calf pain and foot pain. Myofascial pain is pain arising from pathology in the bodies soft tissues and includes ligament pain, tendon pain and muscular pain. Advanced Massage treatment by a qualified Bodywork Therapist can also be very effective at treating tendonitis, muscle stiffness, RSI, whiplash, carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated disc and arthritis.

Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy includes, but is not limited to Sports Massage treatment and Remedial Massage treatment and many other Advanced Bodywork techniques are employed in an Advanced Massage treatment. I offer a professional Massage service whether you require Sports Massage Therapy, chronic pain treatment or a Bodywork Therapist.
