What is a Holistic Therapist?

A holistic therapist is a therapist who works ‘holistically’ to achieve better results and address symptoms which may not respond to conventional treatment types/medication. Working holistically means considering the whole body, not just the symptomatic area of a client, and how their various body parts/systems may affect each other. Working holistically also means considering external factors such as career/lifestyle and the close link between the mind and body when deciding how to best treat a client. A wide range of therapies come under the umbrella term ‘holistic’ but they are generally deeply relaxing, detoxifying, rebalancing and facilitate the bodies self-healing mechanisms.
